Be B.O.L.D. with Lexis

Objectives & Goals
(B) Bridge the gap from FBLA to PBL
  • Create an easier transition for incoming college students to join a PBL chapter more efficiently
  • Support larger social media presence to promote the collegiate division on the national FBLA-PBL social media pages
  • Offer continued membership scholarships that are received directly (This can be done by working closely with state chapters in receiving local partnerships or donations in their state to support & retain PBL membership)
  • Work on building relationships with FBLA chapters across the nation
  • Combine similarities & differences between FBLA and PBL so the transition feels more familiar, while creating PBL's image to be the next step up from FBLA
(O) Overcome obstacles
  • Create a larger presence on the national FBLA-PBL social media page

  • Increase & maintain membership across the nation (Retention is key in being able to grow larger as a collegiate division)
  • Establish adopted states program to more accurately & effectively communicate (Create a networking and communication link to more easily contact and receive information)
  • Inspire members to take part in the Career & Membership Achievement Program (CMAP) to earn pins & individual recognition beyond competitive events (Overall only eight people have completed the President Level  across the nation)
  • Motivate more members to run for chapter/state/national office
(L) Learn & experience
  • Provide more resources to chapters to increase participation with current national programs in place
  • Set up a "membership suggestion" database where members can provide suggestions/ideas on what can make our student organization improve
(D) Develop the future
  • Offer career-oriented opportunities at the National Leadership Conference for those who will be graduating
  • Work closely with FBLA members to align the two divisions and to retain current FBLA members becoming members in PBL
  • Determine adopted states/FBLA Alumni for each national officer to be in communication with while keeping all members up to date on all upcoming events or information or recruiting as a PBL member
